Pediatric Dosing

• For children with normal kidney function, the maximum one-off dose of liquid antacid is 0.5 mL/kg body weight, ensuring appropriate acid neutralization while minimizing the risk of adverse effects in the pediatric population 1
• A weight-based dosing approach, such as 0.5 mL/kg, allows for calculation of the maximum single dose for a child, for example, a 20 kg child would receive a maximum single dose of 10 mL of liquid antacid 1
