FSH Range for Perimenopause
Clinical Guideline Recommendations

- For women over 60 years, menopause can be diagnosed without hormone testing 1
When FSH Testing May Be Appropriate

- FSH monitoring is recommended after chemotherapy to assess ovarian function, according to the National Comprehensive Cancer Network 2, 3
- When switching from tamoxifen to aromatase inhibitors in breast cancer patients, FSH monitoring may be necessary, as suggested by the National Comprehensive Cancer Network 2, 3
- Testing should include both FSH and estradiol measured concurrently, with low estradiol and high FSH supporting postmenopausal status, as noted by the National Comprehensive Cancer Network 1
