Monitoring and Treatment Considerations

• The American College of Physicians and other guideline societies support monitoring for new ulcerations, healing of existing ulcers, and changes in livedo racemosa patterns, in addition to assessing pain intensity and watching for bleeding complications, particularly in women of reproductive age, with a strength of evidence based on clinical trials and expert opinion 2
• Baseline and periodic CBC, renal function, and hepatic function should be checked, with consideration of the patient's overall health status and potential risks for bleeding or other complications, as recommended by the German S1 guideline and other expert groups 2
