• For patients with swallowing difficulties, the National Comprehensive Cancer Network recommends considering alternative PPI formulations, such as other PPIs with different formulations, as crushing pantoprazole is not recommended 1, 2
• The American Society of Clinical Oncology and other guideline societies may also provide guidance on alternative formulations for patients who cannot swallow tablets whole, including the use of enteral feeding tubes for certain medications, although specific guidance for pantoprazole crushing via feeding tubes is not provided 1, 2
