Generalizability Limitations

• The American Heart Association recommends that patients with atrioventricular-nodal-dependent PSVT be considered for treatment, but excludes other SVT mechanisms such as pre-excited atrial fibrillation where calcium channel blockers are contraindicated 1, 2
• The American College of Cardiology guidelines suggest that hemodynamically unstable patients require immediate synchronized cardioversion rather than pharmacological therapy, and were therefore excluded from the trial 1, 3
